Indie Head Massage

Indie Head Massage is a form of relaxation massage that focuses on the muscles of the neck, shoulders, scalp and face. It uses a variety of techniques to help relieve stress, muscle tension, headaches, insomnia and jaw dysfunction. Andrea expertly targets stress, muscle tension, headaches, insomnia, and jaw dysfunction through specialized techniques on the neck, shoulders, scalp, and face.I perform the indie head massage on a professional massage couch. It involves an upper back, neck and scalp massage, finishing with a brief facial massage.

What to Expect

Oils are used, I use a coconut carrier oil with a blend of essential oils added. It can be done without oils if you have to be somewhere after but it is always better with the oils. Bring a hat if you’d like to for your comfort when you leave, especially in winter.The space at the studio is welcoming with subdued lighting and relaxing music to set the mood and get you ready to relax. Incense is also burned, please let me know if you do not want this. Burning sage is used to clear the space and your aura.

Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a type of ‘talking therapy’, that combines the use of psychotherapy with hypnosis. Hypnosis or ‘trance’ is a very natural, relaxing state, encouraged by using guided relaxation, where the mind can relax and then focus on thoughts and suggestions that might be useful. As a modern psychotherapeutic approach, Solution Focused Hypnotherapy uses practical, structured, and well-researched strategies to help people make significant, positive changes in their lives in a relatively short period of time. Crucially, in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, therapists look at what the client wants to achieve (the solution) rather than at whatever prompted them to seek help (the problem).

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

Reiki Classes Available!

Whether you just want to heal yourself and your loved ones, or you want to start your own energy healing practice, my classes will teach you how to step into your purpose. While some healers believe it’s all about meditation and relaxation, my style is one that comes from a belief that Reiki is hugely spiritual. Yes, the work is done through meditation and relaxation but I don’t believe that’s all there is to it. So, if you’re into the spiritual side of healing, chakras, angels, and healing crystals, let's work together in getting you certified in Reiki levels 1 & 2.
